ARCHONTES (Rus) - The World Where Shadows Come to Life (1999)

Archontes es una banda rusa de power metal progresivo con letras cristianas, nacida en 1993. Tan pronto como la formación primigenia de la banda estuvo lista, comenzaron a grabar su primer demo: "Concerto For A Little Darkness And Orchestra", el cual contenía 4 piezas. La mayoía de las canciones fueron influenciadas por los libros de Roger Zelazny, y el album en sí, estaba dedicado a él. Después de una separación en 1996. Fedorenko trabajó con Adolf Castle por cierto tiempo, luego decidió reformar Archontes y compuso las canciones del nuevo álbum. Para el verano de 1997, Archontes grabó su primer LP, "Saga Of Eternity". Lanzado en 1998 por Metalagen Records. Los críticos les dieron una mala crítica sobre la calidad del audio, sin embargo, en ese momento no era rentable pagar estudios de grabación para la mayoría de músicos. Fedorenko compuso canciones para el nuevo trabajo: "!The World Where Shadows Come To Life", el cual saldría al mercado en 1999 a carga de Valiant Music. En el 2000 apareció en algunos países europeos. De acuerdo a Fedorenko, el álbum trata sobre el deseo de los humanos de trascender hacia otro mundo, "un mundo de sueños, un mundo de buenos libros y un mundo de música".
