Dead Winter Dead salio el 22 de Setiembre de 1995 bajo el sello de Atlantic, pues se trata del noveno disco de la banda "Savatage". Este disco habla en contra de la guerra a principios de los '90 en Bosnia. La historia es ambientada en Sarajevo, capital de Bosnia, donde una gargola ve desde lo alto todo lo que sucede en la ciudad, gente viviendo un infierno por la guerra. Los protagonistas son un joven Serbio y una chica musulmana. Escuchen con atencion los tema Sarajevo, This Is the Time (1990) y This Isn't What We Meant, simplemente majestuosos.
